The Manatee County Public Works Department is implementing a wastewater service improvement project to install 20” force main pipe along Cortez Road. The project is located on Cortez Road between 119th Street West and 87th Street Court within Manatee County right-of-way. Construction includes extending the 20-inch diameter pipe approximately 10,000 linear feet to connect Master Lift Station No. 5 to Master Lift Station No. 1-M. The new force main will add capacity and relieve excess demand on the existing 24-inch gravity main during periods of heavy rainfall and higher system flows.
